Leah Althoff is an up and coming comedian based in Denver, Colorado. She moved to Colorado from the Land of 10,000 Lakes in 2016 and has not stopped poking fun at the Colorado lifestyle since, knowing full well she has transformed into a stereotypical transplant herself - sticker covered water bottle and all. Skiing, hiking, and petting other people's dogs did not keep her busy enough so she decided to take a stab at talking into a microphone back in May 2021. Her comedy is typically lighthearted but not afraid of heavier themes, audiences may come away from it learning a lesson or two, and every now and then, there's a joke just for the adults.
She has performed at notable venues in Colorado including Comedy Works (2023 New Faces Competition Wild Card Contestant) and The Comedy Fort (2023 Forts Funniest Competition Finalist) and continues to work out her act on independently produced shows around the city and all across the states. She has been selected to perform at multiple comedy festivals including the High Plains Comedy Festival, CloudTop Comedy Festival, Colorado Queer Comedy Festival, and Boulder Comedy Festival. She is also co-producer of a monthly comedy show held at Cerebral Brewing in Aurora, CO. Come check it out!
It's a short resume for now but she's working to get her name out there, enjoying the process (most of the time), and staying the course thanks to people like her grandma and 10th grade English teacher who have each told her they are big fans of her work on multiple occasions. It's pretty encouraging feedback as she does consider English teachers and grandparents her target audience.
